Mr. Saurabh is the next generation leader of SOM Autotech Pvt Ltd. He holds a master degree in manufacturing from Loughborough University UK.

SOM intends to become a complete solution provider in Aluminum alloys, components and assemblies, produced by casting machining and surface treatment processes. SOM shall thrive to graduate in designing and developing products and systems, leveraging the core strength of Aluminium foundry and precision machining. Will always take pride in economic success, through application of intellectual strengths than volumes and scales. SOM shall build products and brand image in the global market.

2011-12

Company established with HPDC plant with capacity of 50 MT/month

2012-13

  • HPDC capacity increased to 200MT/month
  • Achieved TS 16949. ISO.14000 & OHSAS certifications

2013-14

HPDC capacities increased to 250MT/month

2014-15

HPDC capacity enhanced to 300MT/month

2015-16

  • Established LPDC & GDC plant
  • Added a new customer: Greaves

2016-17

  • LPDC & GDC capacity increased to 200MT/month
  • Started manufacturing throttle bodies for Polaris (end customer)

2017-18

Started exporting fully-machined throttle bodies to Germany for BMW & Ducati (end customer)

2018-19

  • Capacity expanded for throttle bodies to almost 10 OEMs
  • Got our quality system upgraded to IATF 16949 : 2016

2019-20

  • New products added for the global market
  • Added prestigious customers like Husqvarna & Kawasaki
  • HPDC capacity enhanced to 450MT/month

2020-21

Developed 18 new components in HPDC and 3 in LPDC including water-cooled cylinder heads for Bajaj’s high-end motorcycle.

2021-22

Added new prestigious customer Honda 2W.
